About The Position

Assists Project Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent with construction activity supervision of the construction project. Responsible for learning key aspects of the project schedule, learning specific subcontractors/scope and development of understanding the workflow and task necessary for project completion; development of basic understanding in construction knowledge and interpretation of construction documents, assisting with job specific paperwork, safety inspections and effectively communicating with field and office team members.

Responsibilities

  • Field Administration · Supports and coordinates jobsite administrative tasks as required for successful project delivery, such as subcontractor orientations, assist in organizing project paperwork, updating documents, and filing submittals
  • Knows how to read a project schedule and understands the basic flow of construction processes and able to monitor a jobsite for a limited amount of time
  • Ability to build understanding of each division/subcontractor’s scope of work and requirements by contract
  • Assist in the monitoring of field work task and clearly communicates with Project Superintendent regarding task status
  • Demonstrates an ability to learn company safety program, communication skills with subcontractors and Gallant performance standards with a positive and proactive attitude
  • Project Initiation · Participate in the set-up of project related documentation systems and files (Daily reports, Safety documentation, MSDS, project orientation meetings & documents, etc.)
  • Assist the project team with facilitating a Safe, orderly, clean, and productive construction logistics path to support all construction activities (signage, barriers, pathways, access…)
  • Participates in internal project Kickoff meetings as necessary
  • Assist in the coordination of construction material deliveries required for subcontractors and vendors to meet project schedules
  • Project Administration, Operations and Close-out · Responsible for promoting project safety and supporting daily operations in a clean and safe working environment.
  • Responsible for FULL TIME job site presence and coordination of “” shift working hours” to maintain the overall project schedule, milestone dates, and schedule impact items.
  • Assist in tracking and filing of Request for Information (RFIs), project submittals, construction documents and meeting notes.
  • Participate in the maintenance and updating of jobsite construction documents (plans, specifications, RFI’s and Submittals).
  • Establishes relationships and communication tools as needed with internal project team members.
  • Always promotes a safe and respectful working environment by actively supporting programs for safety (jobsite safety reviews/audits), risk management, training, and quality control
  • Attends on-site Daily/Weekly coordination meetings with subcontractor foreman to review all upcoming work activities, quality and project manpower needs to accomplish all planned activities
  • Assist in field coordination efforts related to building/property management, material deliveries, utility shutdowns, afterhours work activities and inspections
  • Provides support of Project Closeout Documentation ensuring compliance with project requirements and timely delivery (Completed Punch List, Record drawings, TAB, Final Inspections, Certificate of Occupancy)
