SUMMARY While on a project, the Field Engineer reports to field level management, who has ultimate responsibility for both the quality of Haydon's deliverable and effective execution of project assignments. The Project Superintendent and Project Manager may delegate certain project management responsibilities to the Field Engineer, including day-to-day interaction with the Owner's designated representative as well as coordination of all internal activities performed by Haydon's staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel if required.
  • Experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Understands and abides by all government processes and regulations.
  • Candidates must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Except where expressly indicated in the job posting, the company is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa at this time

  • Extensive regular contact with assigned crews and subcontractors
  • Participates in Owner and Subcontractor Meetings

  • Introduction to Subcontractor Management
