We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineer to support our Construction Management (CM) team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with project documentation, collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and contributing to the successful delivery of construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience; experience in a construction environment is preferred. Water/Wastewater industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Experience with construction management and document control software.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, means and methods, tools, and contractual requirements related to civil infrastructure and structural projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CM with reviewing project submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs) for compliance with plans and specifications
  • Prepare, distribute, and maintain memos, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes
  • Support the CM in reviewing schedule changes and analyzing schedule impacts
  • Assist with independent cost estimating and change order reviews
  • Review contractor progress payment applications and schedules of values
  • Post RFIs, clarification letters, field memos, and plan/specification revisions
  • Draft and edit correspondence, reports, and other project documentation as directed by the CM
  • Manage and maintain all project documentation, both electronic and hard copy, in accordance with established procedures
  • Cross-reference submittals, RFIs, progress payments, and Inspection Daily Reports (IDRs) with contract documents to validate requests
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and other stakeholders
  • Serve as backup support for project and document control staff as needed
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Perform field inspections as required or as backup support.
