We are currently seeking a talented, highly motivated, and experienced Field Engineer to join our team. Primary Duties: The primary function of the position is Systems Project execution, including conducting site visits, monitoring schedules, and validating technicians and contractor work, offering technical support, and troubleshooting on-site issues, overseeing equipment testing, installation, and planning, drafting and submitting reports to superiors and other key individuals, and always ensuring on-site efficiency and safety. You will work closely with the control engineers, design engineering, and project management to ensure proper installation, connection, and function of equipment on the customer site. Installed equipment may include conveyor, ASRS equipment, Robotic Automation, and high-speed packaging equipment. Additionally, the position may require working with the designing of PLC control cabinets, basic programming of the PLC, and support of the system. The role would team with PeakLogix Engineering and Project Managers to plan and/or execute that project installations are in a predetermined state for the controls engineering to go to site for testing and commissioning. This may require you to be on-site during the installation and testing of our solutions. Evaluate and analyze customer requirements to provide input into the overall solution design and project proposals. Work with controls engineering and project management to supply necessary information to make sure concept of design works smoothly with equipment installation Designing and testing PLC control cabinets Verify installation materials, electrical material, and parts are ready for equipment installation Test, install and support PLC based controls systems on large-scale automated pick-pack-ship line including warehouse management system using Allen Bradley and Siemens hardware and tools Review layouts for accuracy and details required for approval

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • 1+ years proficiency in the use of AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills backed by solid technical knowledge
  • 2+ years’ experience with troubleshooting and commission PLC solutions
  • Experience performing, I/O checkout and wiring verification
  • Willing to travel up to 40% of the time to customer sites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Good understanding of safety guidelines

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years working with SCADA
  • 2+ years designing and troubleshooting control cabinets
