About The Position

We are excited to announce an opening for an onsite Field Engineer – Test Asset Management based in Carlsbad, CA. In this dynamic role, you will be stationed at our primary facility while also traveling to various contract manufacturing sites to oversee and manage critical test assets. This Filed Engineer role will ensure the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our high-tech systems at various sites. Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Field Engineer, Test Engineer or similar role, with a focus on field service or technical support.
  • Degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field experience.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific tools and technologies.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and software applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to both domestic and international locations as needed.
  • US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Installation & Setup:
  • Perform the installation, configuration, and testing of equipment, systems, or machinery at client sites.
  • Ensure all installations are completed according to specified designs and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintenance & Repairs:
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, either on-site or remotely, to minimize downtime.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide on-site and remote support to clients, addressing technical queries, and guiding through system setups.
  • Document all service actions, findings, and recommendations accurately and provide clear reports.
  • Project Coordination:
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of projects, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and client representatives to ensure all technical requirements are met.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring both your safety and the safety of the client's personnel.
  • Comply with industry regulations and company policies to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by offering exceptional customer service and technical advice.
  • Provide training to clients and end-users on system operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, including technical specifications, service reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Prepare detailed field reports for internal teams to track the performance and issues related to equipment and systems.
