About The Position

We are looking for a Field Engineer Technician to join our Operations team on our project in Chester, VA. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• Ideal candidate for this position will possess 2 years of construction/surveying experience using total station and site levels.
• Complete understanding of surveying math, and good communication skills required.
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Work on uneven surfaces/heights, be able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50-100 lbs., 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Ability to operate total station instrument, transit, Auto level and other surveying instruments.
• Sets and marks stakes for slopes, grades and other construction purposes.
• Determines lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances.
• Maintains total station and field book.
• Maintains survey equipment and tools.
