Responsibilities
Reviews, analyzes, and designs lab-based test networks for various small and large-scale militarized computer systems and systems of systems (SoS). Design may include specialized coding, instrumentation connectivity, API and data bridges. Maintains and develops online and batch application programs. Develops and implements a disaster recovery plan. Works with project members to develop system specifications, network/system diagrams and flowcharts as necessary. Has strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures for network testing and will adapt that knowledge to lab or controlled field based testing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and 12 years of experience in the field or in a related area. or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
• Must have knowledge and understanding of computer systems, hardware and hardware interfaces, software code, peripheral interfaces, communications protocols.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of Microsoft and Linux operating systems
• Must have: Network+, A+, Security+
• Must be able to read and understand engineering documentation, technical specifications and product capability documentation as it relates to network and tactical military communications
• Must be able to utilize product engineering and technical specifications to develop and instrument specialized lab-based communications networks.
• Must be able to self-manage with the ability to work in a team environment and/or lead cross functional teams as required
• Must have demonstrated ability to work independently on tight schedules, and still provide high quality work
• Advanced Oral and Written communication skills
• Must be able to lead or work in a cross-functional team environment and interface with engineers in various disciplines.
