Field Engineer SME TS/SCI

About the position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Field Engineer SME to join our team! In this role you will get to provide technical and operational guidance to Parsons' engineering teams in Colorado, support configuration, training, and/or operations of relevant software components, assist software engineers with interpreting the MIL-STD-6016G spec to ensure compliance for testing and evaluation activities for Link-16 and IBS message certifications, assist in the UI/UX design of Link-16 related software to provide operators with an intuitive and easy to use experience, and establish regression testing routine to confirm that existing functionality is not negatively affected by ongoing software development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational guidance to Parsons' engineering teams in Colorado
• Support configuration, training, and/or operations of relevant software components
• Assist software engineers with interpreting the MIL-STD-6016G spec to ensure compliance for testing and evaluation activities for Link-16 and IBS message certifications
• Assist in the UI/UX design of Link-16 related software to provide operators with an intuitive and easy to use experience
• Establish regression testing routine to confirm that existing functionality is not negatively affected by ongoing software development

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree or additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working with military forces/missions and/or DoD enabling applications/systems
• Possess extensive knowledge of the MIL-STD-6016G specification for processing of Link-16 messages
• Hands on experience using software related to Link-16 message handling such as JRE, ADSI, and BOSS
• Solid background in Surveillance Track processing in all environments, Electronic Warfare, Command and Control, and Network Enabled Weapons
• This position is meant to be a Field System Engineer that supports the development team as well as onsite customer support at various Government locations
• TS/SCI is required
