Field Engineer - Landfill Gas Technician
About The Position
Weaver Consultants Group Denver office is seeking candidates for a Landfill Gas Technician in the Air Permitting/Compliance Group. This position will provide gas extraction, leachate collections and operations and maintenance services for the landfill industry. Requirements
- Construction or previous experience with landfill gas systems preferred
- 25% overnight travel, Monday through Friday, with possible last-minute demand
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs
- Clean driving record
- Flexible schedule
Responsibilities
- Landfill gas system operations and maintenance
- Well field monitoring/tuning
- Explosive gas monitoring
- Surface emission monitoring
- Liquid level monitoring
- LFG flare monitoring/maintenance
- Pulling/cleaning submersible pumps
- LFG system troubleshooting
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Understand materials, methods, and tools used on site
- Understand basic electrical safety requirements
- Weld HDPE pipe and fittings
- Extrusion welds HDPE liner materials
- Understand how to use on-site equipment
