As a Field Engineer at Kiewit, you will play a crucial role in our mission to make a difference through construction. We are looking for passionate, skilled, and safety-minded professionals who are committed to delivering top-quality work. In this position, you will be involved in a variety of underground projects that vary in size, difficulty, and duration. Your responsibilities will include performing engineering work, assisting in the preparation of work plans, and providing solutions related to underground tunneling and construction operations. You will also be involved in the district estimating unit, which includes tasks such as quantity takeoffs, time studies, and cost estimating. The Underground District has a rich history of over 70 years in constructing underground facilities and is recognized as a leader in the tunneling industry. With more than 100 completed underground-related projects totaling several billion dollars, our work encompasses various sectors including transportation, water/wastewater, environmental facilities, power, mining, and telecommunications. We utilize state-of-the-art technology alongside proven construction methods to ensure excellence and ongoing success. As part of our decentralized organizational structure, you will have the opportunity to work on projects both locally and nationally, with a focus on our ongoing Design-Build Champlain Hudson Power Express project. In this role, you will spend a significant amount of time working underground, engaging in services such as TBM Rock, TBM Soft Ground, Sequential Excavation, Drill and Blast, Shaft Excavation, Concrete, Tunnel Rehabilitation, and various Trenchless Methods.
