About The Position

Provide software and engineering support to the E-3 DRAGON Training System Support Center (TSSC) located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. The role involves participating in design, planning, installation, and support of computer systems, network hardware, software applications, and peripherals. Responsibilities include setup at desktop and server level, installing, upgrading, implementing and configuring operating systems, applications, software, and hardware, as well as troubleshooting problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, network and peripheral equipment. The position requires managing system security requirements and performing system security testing.

Requirements

  • Experience with hardware/software platforms to include MS Windows and RedHat.
  • Experience in Microsoft Suite Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word).
  • Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience supporting a network/platform of multiple client systems (Windows, Linux, VMware).
  • Experience supporting Windows Server technologies, Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
  • Endpoint management/reporting using Enterprise Antivirus Management server technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, while effectively focusing on priority issues.
  • Ability to create, document, and follow processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a secured classified environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with training and simulation systems.
  • Experience with programming languages (C++, Python) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash) and programming best practices.
  • Experience with proper software testing practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design, planning, installation, and support of computer systems, network hardware, software applications, and peripherals.

  • Install patches and upgrades to production platforms.
  • Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including hardware and software, network and peripheral equipment.

  • Perform system security testing.
  • Deliver oral presentations to management and customers.
  • Explain and instruct technical data in non-technical terms.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Work overtime as required and be willing to work any shift or day of the week.
