About The Position

KE&G Construction, Inc. is a 100 percent employee-owned heavy civil construction company based in Southern Arizona, with more than 54 years of experience building the infrastructure that supports our communities. With close to 500 employees across seven divisions, KE&G provides interns the chance to learn alongside experienced professionals while gaining hands on exposure to active projects. Interns observe how major construction projects develop from start to finish, including roadways, bridges, utilities, and site development, all within a collaborative, team focused environment. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineer, Environmental Engineer or a related field
  • Available for full time work during the summer, approximately May through August
  • Willing to travel or temporarily relocate based on project needs
  • Able to move throughout active construction sites in various weather and site conditions
  • Motivated, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Organized, detail oriented, and safety focused
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and accountability

Responsibilities

  • Assist project teams with field coordination, scheduling support, and basic cost tracking
  • Help track quantities, materials, and daily production
  • Maintain project documentation and progress records
  • Review plans and specifications to understand scope and material needs
  • Coordinate with suppliers to help ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Support the team in identifying and addressing routine field issues
  • Follow all safety standards on job sites
  • All other duties assigned.
