We are currently seeking Field Engineer Interns to join our Internship Program. Field Engineer Interns will help support the scope of work for assigned construction projects and support our field teams. Through this 12-week internship, participants may rotate between several lines of work, including Preconstruction/Estimating, Industrial, and Manufacturing. Participants will work alongside tenured Project Managers or Project Engineers throughout the entire life cycle of current construction projects.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and effectively communicate with others.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Positive and teachable attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination with Project Engineers and Field Superintendents to support field operations.
  • Survey and layout work to ensure accurate installations.
  • Actively participate in quality control programs to ensure work meets quality standards.
  • Regular participation in daily and weekly project meetings to stay updated on project progress.
  • Ensure Field Superintendents and Foremen have access to up-to-date contract documents.
  • Promptly report any field issues to the Project Engineer and Field Superintendent.
  • Track and report the quantities of installed materials and equipment on a weekly basis.
  • Manage the storage and maintenance of equipment and materials on-site.
  • Maintain accurate record drawings and as-builts as per contract requirements.
  • Manage permit documents related to dust control and stormwater pollution prevention.
  • Gather weekly project progress photos to document the project's development.
  • Share knowledge and expertise to help develop the next generation of professionals.
  • Build rapport with owners, clients, engineers, and trade partners.
