About The Position

Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking Field Engineer Interns across the United States in Havre de Grace, MD; Washington D.C.; Harrison, NJ; Denver, CO; Philadelphia PA; Springfield, VA; San Antonio, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Norwalk, CT; and Los Angeles, CA to join our team. As a Field Engineer Intern, you’ll be in the middle of construction operations, giving you direct hands-on learning experiences. Our interns have many of the same day to day responsibilities and expectations as our full-time employees. You will work alongside our project engineers and field engineers to learn the construction process.

Requirements

• Pursing a degree.
• Must be flexible in working in both office and field environment as needed.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team.
• Must have strong organization skills.
• Must be highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Assist in submittals, field work packages, compiling as-built data, verifying quantities, field safety and quality inspections.
• Perform procurement quantity takeoffs.
• Daily reports in construction management software.
• Assist with compilation of necessary information for all submittals and coordinate with Document Control to ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with coordination of material deliveries.
• Assist with field verifications, inspections, and measurements.
• Work closely with document control and field personnel to ensure they have latest drawings and installation documents.
• Assist with cost coding.
• Review and understand the redline/as-built process.
• Attend necessary briefings and safety meetings as required.
• Attain necessary job specific training.
• Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
• Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.
