The Field Engineer is responsible for overseeing various aspects of project execution, including redlines, audits, warranties, and product submittals. This role requires close collaboration with leads and superintendents to ensure that all changes to the Scope of Work (SoW) are accurately documented and submitted. The Field Engineer will utilize internal trackers for managing redlines related to fiber and copper installations, ensuring that all infrastructure is installed according to design specifications. Additionally, the Field Engineer will conduct test audits, compile lessons learned, and manage warranty processes towards the end of the build. The position also involves preparing product submittals and assisting with label printing for installation teams.

  • Complete and submit redlines to engineering.
  • Verify that all infrastructure is installed to design/spec.
  • Check and verify all Fiber and Copper scope.
  • Work with the team to configure Network redlines if needed.
  • Reference RFIs on redlines before QA review.
  • Run and verify audits after project completion.
  • Compile and finalize lessons learned documents.
  • Gather information for warranty processing.
  • Complete product submittals and verify BOM with POs.
  • Print labels for installation teams and manage reprints.
  • Oversee RFIs before submission and document lessons learned.
  • Verify and manage design work including shop drawings.
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3-4 years of commercial low-voltage/structured cabling experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Experience with BIM360.
  • Familiarity with cable scheduling and testing processes.
  • Knowledge of grounding and bonding practices.
