The Field Engineer - Structured Cabling will be able to install and operate most types of low-voltage/structured cabling systems and equipment. They will troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems in a senior service support role, which includes testing, troubleshooting of system components and functions, and field verification of connections, labels, installation, and work quality. The Field Engineer will understand advanced system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals, and will be able to create shop drawings and submittals for new project kick-off. They will manage the technical work in the field with little supervision and assume ownership of project installation, providing support to field staff and project managers. This role includes assisting with maintaining and completing project punch-lists for project closeouts, overseeing the technical aspects of projects, quality-checking the projects, testing all equipment and functionality, and creating punch lists. The Field Engineer will also assist sales staff as needed with product and system demonstrations and handle other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project).
  • Ability to diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment and new installs.
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and give oral presentations effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
  • Competitive hourly wage ranging from USD $26.00 to $34.00.
