The Field Engineer I, II, or III is responsible for independently inspecting and monitoring construction activities to ensure completion per the plans and adherence to all specifications and codes required. This position will notify project management of significant issues and complete documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities per project specifications. Employees must develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule as they relate to their specific assignment. This is a traveling position, up to 100% of the time, with the potential to be placed on a project site located in any state throughout the US, spending 8-12 months on average per project. The role includes a designated daily per diem in addition to base pay to support living expenses and is eligible for routine travel home (rotation) from the jobsite, along with a monthly vehicle allowance.
