Reporting to the Senior Director - Facilities Operations, the Field Director directs and oversees preventive, reactive and emergency maintenance teams and personnel in the field. This role directs engineering staff and related resources to maintain a safe and reliable hospital physical plant, grounds and equipment. The Field Director plans, directs, and supervises the functions and activities of facilities managers and staff. This is a full time position located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital overseeing the Center for Community Health (CCH) and the main campus.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- At least seven years of supervisory facilities engineering experience, preferably at a large hospital
- Proven management skills in diverse labor force
- Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of MEP systems, CMMS systems
- Management/Supervisory skills
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Knowledge in the use of CMMS systems to organize and track staff work performance
- Knowledge of NFPA Life Safety Code, JCAHO, New York State, and other regulatory agency safety requirements

- NYC Steam/Refrigeration license
