About The Position

At IK Systems , we're looking for a Field Deployment Engineer to lead the deployment and commissioning of advanced security and infrastructure solutions for mission-critical clients. This isn't just installation-it's engineering in the field. You'll configure servers, networks, and security platforms, validate system performance, and ensure every deployment meets the highest standards. If you have strong networking fundamentals, experience with IP video and access control systems, and a passion for solving technical challenges on-site, we want to hear from you.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, IT, or related field-or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of hands-on low-voltage installation and commissioning experience
- Strong knowledge of IP networking (VLANs, routing basics, DHCP/DNS)
- Experience with Windows servers, virtualization, and storage fundamentals
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and wiring schematics
- Valid Driver's License required
Nice To Haves
- Industry certifications (BICSI, NICET, Cisco, Microsoft), vendor platform experience (Genetec, Lenel, Axis, Bosch), and familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure LAN, WAN, wireless, and point-to-point network solutions
- Rack, cable, and bring online servers, storage systems, and security infrastructure
- Configure IP cameras, access control hardware, and intrusion detection systems
- Install Windows OS, set up virtual machines, and prepare application servers
- Validate system performance through acceptance testing and documentation
- Troubleshoot across network, server, and field device layers
- Support technicians during installation and coordinate cutovers with project teams
- Provide customer training on system operation
