About The Position

The Field Data Collector position at NORC involves collecting data through field interviews for the Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF) project. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Comfortable contacting people in-person at their homes, often without notice.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in field interviewing, sales, hospitality, marketing, financial services, real estate, tax preparation, teaching, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person interviews with respondents to collect data for the SCF project.
• Manage and organize a flexible work schedule of 15-25 hours per week.
• Utilize a NORC-provided tablet and applications for data collection and communication.
• Attend all required virtual and in-person training sessions.
• Drive to various locations, often 50 miles or more round trip, to complete interviews.
