Field Crew Leader
About The Position
We are currently seeking a self-motivated, experienced Field Crew Leader to join our growing team in the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area. This is a full-time leadership position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and maintains a high level of professionalism when interacting with customers, site superintendents, and team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and confident in managing both crew members and equipment in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Position Overview As a Field Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading daily field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards. You will oversee crew performance, maintain direct communication with customers and site supervisors, and operate equipment as needed to meet production goals. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both management ability and strong equipment operating experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of equipment operating experience (skid steers, mini excavators, Dingo mini track loaders, trucks with trailers required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Proven leadership experience managing field crews
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- Pre-Employment Drug Test Required
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field crew members on job sites
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company safety policies
- Coordinate daily production goals and maintain project timelines
- Provide excellent customer service while communicating with clients and site superintendents
- Operate equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, Dingo mini track loaders, and trucks with trailers
- Transport crew and equipment to and from job sites and company yard
- Perform services related to soil erosion control, power washing, and other specialty services
- Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain a professional job site appearance and positive team culture
