About The Position

The Field Coordinator will be assigned to a project team of Assistant Superintendents and or Superintendents responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction of high-density commercial construction projects. The position will be assigned to oversee certain trades and phases of the work.

Requirements

  • Must have associate degree or bachelors degree and/or one to three years of relevant experience; previous construction industry experience is preferred.
  • OSHA certification
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and Procore
  • Ability to accurately read plans and communicate construction information
  • Self-motivated
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of the team.

Nice To Haves

  • previous construction industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and drive project schedules.
  • Collaboration with internal/external teams, trade partners, architects, client representatives, code and building inspectors, and co-workers
  • Masterminds project logistics and material/laydown staging
  • Ensures all aspects of Environment Health & Safety are enforced and practiced in accordance with McFarland Construction and OSHA standards
  • Facilitates installation of interior wall and ceiling systems, doors, frames and/or hardware
  • Sequences all trades to work in concert with one another including all site, civil and mechanical work
  • Assists Project Manager with developing sub-trade scopes of work
  • Construction field operations and consistent attention to plans and specs
  • Project daily reports and project progress field reports
  • Summary updates on plan vs. actual schedule completion
  • Facilitate weekly toolbox talks to coordinate all the short-term objectives of the project
  • Documentation of Jobsite Hazard Analysis (JHAs) and hazard work activities
  • Creation and distribution of two-week look ahead schedules for all trades
  • Maintenance of completion lists and documentation within Procore project management
  • Manage field closeout and punch list process including final walks
  • Coordination of building inspections and corrective action as necessary
  • Drawing coordination and management of as-builts to reflect any field changes
  • Support and attendance of the OAC meetings as required
  • Establish and maintain high standards for quality control and quality assurance
  • Maintain organized, clean field office and project documentation (MSDS, schedules, drawings, and project reports)
