About The Position

BUILD YOUR CAREER WITH TUFF SHED! We're recruiting for an experienced Field Construction Technician to be part of our team providing high-quality Tuff Shed products at our Boise Location. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE A SUCCESSFUL FIELD CONSTRUCTION TECHNICIAN AT TUFF SHED? Warranty, Service, & Delivery • Assists in the safe delivery of Tuff Shed storage buildings to Home Depot stores, customer properties, and retail sales lots • Performs customer service warranty repair tasks on customer sites effectively, efficiently and with courtesy and within the scheduled timeframe • Provides feedback to management team – determining whether concerns are covered warranty issues that can be resolved but chargeable or a completion issue Sales & Customer Service • Delivers excellent customer service when dealing with Tuff Shed current (and prospective) customers • Assists with off-site special events such as Home Shows • Assists with upkeep of HD displays and marketing materials Vehicle and Driving responsibilities • Inform the AM/OM of service/maintenance requirements for Tuff Shed vehicle Other • Reports defective, worn, or inoperable tools (electric, pneumatic, consumables, extension cords, air hoses, etc) to Management in a timely manner • Ensures vehicle’s GPS device remains connected and operable at all times

Requirements

  • General knowledge of the construction industry, basic carpentry skills, basic roofing skills, and basic painting skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure, working drawings, and speed square
  • Ability to operate air compressors, air tools, hammer, saw, drill, and other basic power tools
  • Proven customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public
  • Ability to use mobile application systems, as required, for the purpose of scheduling, reporting, etc

Nice To Haves

  • Experience driving a flatbed truck, box truck and/or towing trailers, unloading, and transporting materials is a plus
  • Experience as a “big box” delivery driver is a plus
  • Experience with vehicle inspections
