About The Position

The Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) at BIOTRONIK is responsible for providing essential technical and clinical support for the company's bradycardia and tachycardia product lines within the assigned territory. This role involves collaborating with physicians, sales teams, and cardiac pacing professionals to ensure effective education, follow-up, and implant support, ultimately impacting patient care positively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Nursing, Physiology, Biology, Bio-Engineering, Exercise Science, or similar.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in cardiac cath lab, EP lab, or pacing business with emphasis on pacemaker and ICD support.
  • Experience in pacemaker implantation and/or follow-up.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pacemaker & ICD follow-up to Biotronik patients and physician customers.
  • Provide pacemaker & ICD implant support within area of geographic responsibility.
  • Provide in-service training to physician, nursing, and technical hospital staff.
  • Train peers in cardiac pacing and Biotronik products.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for clinical and scientific studies, including data collection and support for clinical sites.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork associated with implants, follow-ups, and data collection for studies.
  • Maintain a competent and current level of knowledge in cardiac pacing, defibrillators, and electrophysiology.
  • Maintain comprehensive product and technical knowledge of all BIOTRONIK bradycardia and tachycardia products.
  • Achieve technical proficiency and implant certification within six months of hire date if not certified.
  • Maintain or obtain IBHRE certification within two years of hire date if not certified.
  • Assist sales representatives within the specific sales territory.
  • Provide on-call coverage 24/7, including weekends and holidays, with a rotating schedule.
  • Travel and provide implant support within the Area Sales Director's defined territory, with out-of-town travel expected to be no more than 30%.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
