About The Position

We are seeking a Field CISO — a seasoned former CISO who can serve as a trusted executive advisor to customers, prospects, partners, and industry stakeholders. This is a customer-facing role that combines thought leadership, board-level presence, and real-world CISO credibility to help enterprises navigate their cloud security journeys with Aviatrix.

Requirements

  • Must have served as a Chief Information Security Officer (enterprise, SaaS, or security vendor preferred) or in a similar capacity.
  • 15+ years in cybersecurity with executive-level decision-making experience.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills with a proven ability to engage boards, CIOs, and CISOs.
  • Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP security models, including zero trust, cloud networking, and compliance frameworks with an emphasis on enabling AI.
  • Experience supporting sales cycles, customer success, or vendor-customer advisory roles.
  • Recognized as a thought leader or trusted advisor in the security community.
  • Ability to align security strategy with business objectives, revenue growth, and digital transformation.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in cloud security, networking, or SaaS vendors with hands-on experience in at least one major hyperscaler.
  • Experience in implementing AI security functions and in securing AI workloads.
  • Public speaking experience at security conferences and executive forums.
  • Experience advising on compliance, regulatory audits, and board-level risk postures.
  • Relationships with CISO communities, analyst firms, and regulators.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the executive-level security advisor to enterprise customers and prospects, bringing practical CISO experience to boardrooms and executive discussions.
  • Translate complex cloud networking and security strategies into business outcomes that resonate with CIOs, CISOs, and Boards of Directors.
  • Represent Aviatrix in analyst briefings, industry events, and security forums. Publish thought leadership content that positions Aviatrix as a leader in secure cloud networking.
  • Partner with sales and solution architecture teams to build trust with customer executives, influence buying decisions, and accelerate deals.
  • Capture CISO-level feedback from customers and feed it back into Aviatrix’s product, marketing, and strategy organizations.
  • Shape and deliver the Aviatrix security narrative to industry influencers, regulators, and standards bodies.
  • Provide executive-level guidance to customers during high-stakes security discussions, including risk management, compliance, and cloud adoption strategies.
