ERM is hiring experienced Field Biologists to conduct wildlife surveys in Beatty, NV. This is a full-time (60 hours/week), limited-term role for a duration of 8 weeks , extendable. Requirements

  • BS degree in a natural science field of study, preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) certification
  • Minimum of 1+ years of projects that surveyed, monitored, and mitigated for target species , including desert tortoise, desert kangaroo rat, and pale/dark kangaroo mouse

Nice To Haves

  • Desert Tortoise Council Training is a plus
  • Small mammal trapping experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conducting protocol-level desert tortoise surveys
  • Conducting small mammal trapping
  • Electronic data collection using Field Maps and Survey123 applications
  • Working as a member of large team of biologists
  • Daily reporting
  • Other duties as assigned or required
