About The Position

As a Field Auto Adjuster at Allstate, you will play a crucial role in the Auto claims handling process by writing estimates directly at customer homes, repair shops, or tow yards. This position requires a variety of customer and shop interactions, including face-to-face, virtual, and written communication, as you assess and finalize estimates. You will be involved in diverse workstreams, including repairable estimates, total loss assessments, and virtual inspections, providing you with a dynamic and engaging work environment. In this role, you will embody several key functions throughout your day. As a Customer Service Expert, you will uphold Allstate's Claims Culture by being compassionate, clear, and a committed partner in each Casualty claim. You will lead with empathy, ensuring that customers feel supported and understood. As an Investigator, you will independently investigate casualty claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage. Your role as an Effective Communicator will involve using various communication methods, including phone, email, and video chat, to guide customers through a fast, fair, and easy claims process. You will also act as a Negotiator, evaluating and negotiating claims settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, while adhering to legal and business standards. Additionally, as a Problem Solver, you will utilize multiple tools to efficiently complete your tasks in a fast-paced environment, employing your critical thinking skills. Finally, as a Recorder, you will protect the company financially by executing policies and maintaining accurate documentation in the claims system. This position requires you to live in the Central San Diego or Rancho Bernardo areas to be eligible. You will also need to secure any necessary adjuster and/or appraiser licenses within 60 days of hire, with support from the Hiring Manager and Centralized Licensing team.
