About The Position

The Field Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of utility electric pole inspections by assisting field teams with logistical, administrative, and coordination tasks. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth site operations, safety, community outreach, and accurate documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-based environment. The duration of this project is 3 to 6 months.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, relevant coursework or certifications a plus.
  • 1+ year of experience in construction or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology.
  • Proficiency with smartphones, cameras, tablets, computer and basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Google Drive).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation (vehicle) for job duties is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read simple construction drawings or site plans is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with on-site project coordination, including setup and breakdown of job sites.
  • Perform daily site walks to check progress and safety compliance.
  • Take and organize site photos and notes for reporting and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing daily field reports, timesheets, and other logs.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors as needed.
  • Support public outreach efforts.
  • Maintain and organize project documentation.
  • Help enforce safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Run errands or pick up supplies when necessary.
  • Act as a visual observer to support drone pilots.
  • Support the operations lead and project manager with other duties as assigned.
