Visit Globe-Miami.com to learn more.What You Will Do Hands-on learning and perform electrical maintenance/operations activities with minimal to moderate supervision, or support journeymen in their electrical maintenance activities. Perform basic electrical maintenance activities. Perform safe operation of maintenance mobile equipment such as forklifts, stinger trucks and overhead and mobile cranes. Perform work area and equipment safety inspections. Attend required classroom training sessions as necessary. Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

Completion of, or graduation from one of the following:
A structured electrical apprenticeship program
A certified electrical training institute; OR
Completion of a Joint Technical Education District (JTED) program
Basic electrical maintenance principles
Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.
Candidates may be required to pass a medical exam.
Candidates must pass all required training and/or testing.
Employees may be required to work a non-standard schedule, which may include shift work (other than day shift) at a 24/7, 365-day operation.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
