As a Field Applications Specialist - Tissue Diagnostics you will: Acting as the primary liaison/customer representative throughout the implementation process and future histology application support, Includes planning and coordination for the implementation and customer training, as well as problem-solving issues that arise for customers throughout the life cycle of the solution. Provide highly visible, self-supervised and self-directed, extensive on-site advisory customer support through the implementation of Roche Tissue instrumentation and tailored customer training on our Roche solutions to meet customer needs based on an individualized assessment of the customer’s personnel, organizational structure, workflow, and maximization of equipment capabilities, which may include: equipment, applications, systems, and IT solutions. Act as an advisor on customer issues and drive efficiencies & optimization for the customer and Roche through independent analysis and problem-solving. Additionally, will be responsible for increased sales revenue by identifying opportunities for new system consumables for clients (i.e. reagents, primary antibodies, bio-markers, software). Performs these job duties remotely and independently. Advanced and specialized knowledge generally of a particular area, system, or equipment with regard to technologically advanced instruments and scientific applications. Requires specific training and certification. Utilizes independent judgment and discretion in the analysis of customer particularized needs and issues that arise both during and after the implementation process. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Independently analyzes and resolves most customer questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this highly responsible position. This is a field-based role - the territory is the Southeastern United States primarily covering South Florida and Puerto Rico. 90% travel is expected for this position. The ideal candidate for this role will reside in Florida, primarily Miami, Fort Lauderdale and within 50 miles of an airport.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology or Clinical Laboratory or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 + years of experience implementing and evaluating complex laboratory, IT products, medical diagnostic equipment, reagents and/or systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with project management experience.
  • Strong customer consultative skills, including advanced scientific knowledge, exceptional customer engagement, and the ability to foster strong customer relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Education or experience in Histotechnology HT, HTL or CT Certification preferred
  • Experience with Pharma, Academia and research with Roche Discovery products
  • Ability to learn and remain current on Roche solutions across various fields, including histology and discovery ultra
