Field Applications Engineer - FPGA

Arrow Electronics
67d$92,000 - $170,158

About The Position

As a Field Applications Engineer - FPGA, you will partner with the Arrow sales teams in local branches across your assigned region in pre-and post-sales activities. Your role will involve providing technical support and consulting for FPGA-based designs to promote demand creation. You will work closely with customers to develop a thorough understanding of their design requirements at both a system and component level. Additionally, you will attend supplier trainings in-person and via conference calls, demonstrating an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of supplier technologies and how those technologies relate to market needs. You will also provide training to Arrow sales teams on new products and help market these products to the appropriate customers. Managing supplier and customer expectations by building and developing relationships, keeping stakeholders up to date on activities, plans, and progress towards initiatives will be crucial. You will manage top opportunities and the opportunity funnel in your assigned region, attend and actively participate in strategic branch meetings and quarterly business reviews, and help plan and organize engineering customer events and seminars. Preparing and giving sales presentations to customers, meeting with customers both on-site and virtually, and working independently with minimal guidance are key aspects of this role. You will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and quickly build influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and the Arrow sales team. This position represents a level at which your career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement. Note that this job profile requires participation in a sales compensation plan, with a portion of On-Target Earnings being variable and tied to specific sales-related goals as set forth by Arrow.
