About the position
The Field Applications Engineer position within Texas Instruments' FAST Development Program is designed to prepare participants for customer-oriented careers that combine technical skills with business perspectives. This 12-month program includes two rotations: one focused on Field Sales Office interactions to solve technical challenges and maximize revenue, and the other on Systems Engineering & Marketing to understand how TI components provide systems-level solutions. Successful candidates will transition to the role of Field Applications Engineer, where they will work closely with customers to provide comprehensive system-level solutions.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential projects using sales tools and relationships with design engineering.
- Provide proactive proposals for complete, system-level solutions that maximize TI content.
- Influence customers' part selection process using broad technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skills.
- Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended).
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
