Field Application Scientist - Remote Position
About The Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Field Application Scientist - REMOTE. This role is essential in delivering high-level pre-sale and post-sale support to both external and internal customers using advanced flow cytometry technology. As a Field Application Scientist, you will be crucial in conducting demonstrations and providing training, which facilitates customer satisfaction and enhances their research capabilities. You will also play a significant role in business growth by maintaining effective communication and gathering valuable market intelligence.
Requirements
- B.Sc. degree or higher in Biology, Immunology or related life science discipline
- Minimum of 5 yearsâ experience with multi-laser and multicolor flow cytometry and cell sorting applications
- Experience in spectral flow cytometry is desired
- Prior core lab or FAS experience is preferred
- Prior experience with Sony cell sorters and spectral analyzers is preferred
- Experienced MS Office user
- Time management skills to optimize productivity
- Prior experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
- Strong desire to learn new technologies and work with a close-knit, supportive team
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the USA and available for occasional international travel
- Travel may be required up to 50%
Nice To Haves
- Experience in spectral flow cytometry is desired
- Prior core lab or FAS experience is preferred
- Prior experience with Sony cell sorters and spectral analyzers is preferred
- Prior experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-sales support for company products (in person and remote)
- Coordinate and perform product demonstrations, training, and technical support
- Conduct seminars, workshops and represent the company at meetings
- Meet customer requirements (responsive, schedule conscious, etc.)
- Provide reports, marketing intelligence and information to supervisor and other company personnel
- Utilize Salesforce.com by updating contact info, adding notes, customer information, etc.
- Maintain relevant internal communications to optimize business growth and customer satisfaction
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
