About The Position

Requirements

  • At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or a related field through an accredited degree program during the time of the internship.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Fluency in English (Written & Verbal).
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
  • Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Coursework in Circuit Design, Semiconductor Device Physics, or Materials Science.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, EDA (Electronic Design Automation) software, and Linux operating systems.

Responsibilities

  • Gain a strong understanding of GlobalFoundries' technology offerings by engaging with internal experts to explore key features and differentiators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align GF technologies with specific customer needs and application requirements.
  • Support customers through technical evaluations and tapeout processes in partnership with GF subject matter experts.
  • Develop clear, customer-facing technical documentation that demonstrates how GF technologies address targeted application and market challenges.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
