As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers. Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams. The Pixel Carrier Certification team is responsible for certifying Pixel products for global carriers. Our team focuses on lab testing which includes PTCRB/GCF, carrier specific testing, Radio Frequency Over-The-Air, field and industry certifications. Team members rely on their technical knowledge in wireless communication to manage certification projects for Pixel devices. In this role, you will drive carrier hardware testing and certification requirements across development teams, testing labs, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. You will drive hardware and software benchmark testing and influence the development teams to drive improvements. You will troubleshoot issues, coordinating solutions with internal and external engineering teams and partners/suppliers. You will define and oversee hardware certification test requirements and validate testing reports for accuracy, completeness, and ensure all mandatory requirements are properly accounted for in filing packages. You will communicate certification status and issues in a clear, succinct, and timely manner from executive leaders to all impacted teams.
