About The Position

The Account Representative role at Grainger involves managing customer accounts and driving sales growth by presenting the Grainger Value Proposition. The position requires creating effective territory plans, maintaining customer relationships, and utilizing various communication channels to maximize purchasing. The representative will report to the Field Sales Manager and is expected to meet performance targets through proactive sales strategies.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of sales experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED; two or four-year degree preferred.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and have occasional overnights (dependent on territory).

Responsibilities

  • Create a territory plan that optimizes call routes and maximizes time in the field.
  • Maintain account and customer contact, recording follow-up details in Grainger's CRM.
  • Increase sales with each account using various communication channels.
  • Respond to customers' real-time needs and grow revenue to reported thresholds.
  • Achieve or exceed shared metrics of daily calls and customer face time minutes.
  • Report accurate information on overall results of customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities, negotiate sales, and manage needs and cost requirements.
