As a Field Account Representative at Grainger, you will play a crucial role in determining and presenting the appropriate "Grainger Value Proposition" to each account. Your primary responsibility will be to review how Grainger can add value and assist with each account's purchasing needs. This position is integral to maintaining and enhancing customer relationships, ensuring that businesses can operate smoothly and safely with the products and services Grainger provides. In this role, you will create a territory plan that optimizes call routes and maximizes your time in the field. You will be expected to deliver a sales plan that meets performance targets while maintaining regular contact with accounts and customers. Utilizing Grainger's CRM, you will record follow-up details and take a proactive approach to increase sales with each account. This will involve using a wide array of communication channels to maximize purchasing through all of Grainger's sales and service channels. You will also be responsible for responding to customers' real-time needs, growing revenue to meet reported thresholds, and achieving or exceeding shared metrics related to daily calls and customer face time minutes. Accurate reporting on the overall results of customer interactions will be essential, as will identifying opportunities, negotiating sales, and managing customer needs and cost requirements. You will report directly to the Field Sales Manager, ensuring alignment with the company's sales strategies and objectives.
