About The Position

Sartorius is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, entrepreneurially spirited professional for a Field Account Manager role to drive the growth of its Bioprocess Solutions portfolio in the Bay Area. This remote position involves being a trusted business partner to biopharmaceutical customers, identifying new opportunities, and building productive relationships. The Field Account Manager will be responsible for increasing revenue through proactive sales of the product portfolio within the assigned territory and developing strong customer relations according to organizational strategy. The role requires residing in the San Francisco Bay area. Sartorius is a global life science company contributing to the fight against diseases like cancer and dementia by translating scientific discoveries into real-world medicine faster, so that new therapeutics can reach patients worldwide. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in a science discipline or equivalent relevant practical experience that demonstrate a strong ability and proven competency to work effectively as an Account Manager within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry
  • 3+ years’ relevant industry experience, preferably within a GMP or GLP environment
  • Sales experience and/or customer facing experience in biotechnology industry
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently with the assigned territory
  • Proficient with MS Office software, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

  • Post graduate qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific discipline is desired but not essential
  • Ability to interact within all levels of target organizations.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, results oriented, and hard working.
  • Good teamwork skills and proven ability to also work with cross-functionally.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range or key account to achieve sales and revenue target.
  • Assess and analyze customer needs, respond to customer enquiries and suggest products and services as appropriate.
  • Work closely with cross functional team to create higher market perception and successful strategies to gain business from an account.
  • Coordinate and participate in marketing activities in assigned territory.
  • Frequently assess the potential of each customer and plan to realize it into business.
  • Manage and build strong customer relationships for long term partnership.
  • Manage and grow an existing sales base within the assigned account and develop new contacts and applications.
  • Demonstrate a natural affinity to influence and sell to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to persuade, through logic and bottom-line reasoning.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in given region.
  • Support the Sales Manager/Director to achieve annual sales target and fulfill corporate objectives within assigned accounts.
