About The Position

HMH is seeking a dedicated, compassionate Intervention Account Executive responsible for building strong relationships with school district administrators and teachers to deliver targeted solutions that drive student success. Focusing exclusively on new business, this role involves identifying and meeting the needs of school districts at national and regional level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Marketing or Liberal Arts or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • 4-5 years in Educational/Technology sales experience required.
  • Classroom Teaching Experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate and manage relationships at national, regional, and site-specific levels to drive sales growth.
  • Navigate complex organizational structures to influence centralized decision-making while supporting site-based procurement and delivery.
  • Lead targeted sales efforts on a building-by-building basis when needed.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities across all organizational entities, leveraging deep professional networks and partnerships to expand reach and impact.
  • Develop customized strategies that address unique customer challenges while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding district-level needs and delivering tailored support.
  • Stay informed on market trends, state and local adoption cycles, and competitive dynamics.
  • Share actionable insights with Area Management to inform strategic decisions and capitalize on timely opportunities.
  • Clearly articulate product features and benefits to key decision-makers.
  • Respond to customer inquiries with urgency, empathy, and resourcefulness to ensure satisfaction and long-term engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to optimize territory performance.
  • Plan and conduct strategic sales calls with defined objectives and follow-through actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce.com to support forecasting, territory planning, and performance tracking.
  • Travel up to 60% within the assigned territory, including domestic air travel and driving, to support customer engagement and sales execution.
