Job Description: Responsibilities include monitoring the performance of a domestic discretionary or non-discretionary advisory product, which may include managing a product within the brokerage or institutional offering. Responsibilities include working with more senior Product Specialists in developing product plans, strategies and enhancements, and performing data collection and coordination activities. The Fiduciary Programs and Platforms (FPP) Team is a dynamic, innovative, and forward-thinking team responsible for the management and development of Bank of America’s industry-leading fiduciary business, including the Merrill Lynch Investment Advisory Program (IAP) and its Merrill Lynch One platform. IAP comprises over $1.8+ trillion in client assets across 800k+ households, which generates ~$13B in annual revenue for Merrill Wealth Management. This team and our Fiduciary program offering are critical to help drive business growth and optimal investment outcomes for our clients. The primary focus areas of the team consist of providing support of the fiduciary program offering, including platform enhancements and modernization, improving product offerings & capabilities, identifying pricing opportunities, along with defining and implementing IAP oversight and program guidelines to help drive growth and efficiency across all client segments and advisors across the company.

Requirements

  • SIE, Series 7 & 66 are required. If not currently held, must be obtained within 120 days.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in wealth management, investment advisory, product management, or a related financial services role.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex workflows, including client onboarding, account supervision, and program administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, advisors, and cross‑functional partners.
  • Proven ability to analyze information, identify risks or gaps, and recommend practical solutions.
  • High level of organizational discipline and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), TEAMS and ability to learn internal systems quickly.
  • Strong problem‑solving, collaboration, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Responsibilities

  • The Product Specialist is responsible for the day‑to‑day management and oversight of advisory programs serving Retail and Institutional clients across the Affluent, High Net Worth, and Ultra High Net Worth segments.
  • The role supports the full client lifecycle—from sales support and onboarding through ongoing account supervision—to ensure adherence to program guidelines and a consistent, high‑quality advisor and client experience.
  • Key responsibilities include managing Merrill advisor field requests, overseeing client eligibility and program compliance, and coordinating responses to regulatory examinations and internal audits.
  • The role also executes core product governance activities such as Existing Product Reviews, and evaluates program training, marketing, and client‑facing materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
  • In partnership with product and business leaders, the Product Specialist contributes to defining the strategic roadmap and future-state enhancements for the advisory platform.
