About The Position

Fiber Tower Operator 1: The Production Operator is responsible for setting up and operating manufacturing machines to assemble and process products, covering the full machine lifecycle from setup through long production runs. The role works under direct supervision and ensures products are manufactured safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Your role: You will set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing machines, tools, and equipment, performing standard and complex production tasks in line with Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices. You will monitor equipment performance and product output, conduct testing, record production data, and ensure quality specifications and tolerances are consistently met. You will maintain accurate production and maintenance records, ensuring proper documentation and traceability for manufacturing performance analysis. You will maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety, environmental, and security practices, including lockout and shutdown procedures. Working shifts: Training period (4–6 months): First Shift: 5:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Monday–Friday) Second Shift: 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (Monday–Friday) After training: 12‑hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience operating complex manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines, screw machines, or similar automated production machinery.
  • Skills include machine setup and operation, quality monitoring, precision machining, digital recordkeeping, and adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety standards.
  • High School Diploma or Vocational Training, or an equivalent level of education.
  • Reliable, detail‑oriented team player who is comfortable working shift‑based schedules, including extended and rotating shifts, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Production/Assembler position.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment.
  • For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Colorado Springs, CO.
