About The Position
Socket is currently seeking an experienced Fiber Splicing Technician to join our dynamic team. This advanced-level field service position involves performing a variety of fiber optic splicing tasks, including (but not limited to) mainline splicing, curbside and customer premise work, extending demarcation points, troubleshooting inside wiring and central office issues, and thoroughly testing all completed splices. This position involves frequent travel, with the possibility of occasional overnight stays and planned maintenance tasks. It also requires availability for on-call duty and emergency response during outages.
