About The Position
The Fiber Splicer II position includes physical requirements and the ability to distinguish all colors used in fiber optic cables; ability to work aloft from ladders, platforms, poles (with climbers); and bucket trucks and must possess the ability to lift, carry, set up and secure a 28-foot ladder. This position will work on large cable transfers, maintenance, new construction & overbuilds, road moves and on all cable sizes, types and environments. This position performs duties such as: cable maintenance, installation, removal, rearrangement and maintenance of single line and associated telecom/apparatus equipment.
