About The Position

We are currently seeking a motivated engineer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge fiber optic sensor solutions. Your responsibilities will include: * Development of process of packaging / embedding of optical fiber into composite materials. * Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action (RCCA) on embedded fiber optic sensors. * Development of technical process of retrieving or coupling of optical fiber from the composite materials. * Lab testing fiber optic sensors embedded in composite materials. * Development of an automatic testing process for fiber optic sensors. * Setting up packaging operations as a pathway for industrial volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor or higher in optical or electrical engineering or adjacent field.
• At least 2 years of experience in fiber optics, familiar with various fiber optic testing tools, such as fusion splicing tools, strippers for special coatings, power meters.
• Experience for optical fiber drawing.
• Experience with DTS, DSS, FBG interrogators is preferred.
• Experience with programming languages for automation such as LabView/Python/Matlab.
• Prior industrial experience ideally.
• Excellent proficiency of English along with strong communication skills.
• Eligible to work in US or able to obtain a TN Visa.
