About The Position
VEA Connect is seeking experienced Fiber Floating Technicians with a “replace yourself” mindset to support ongoing fiber installation projects. This role requires hands-on experience with micro and conventional fiber floating and the ability to lead field execution while maintaining strict safety standards. We are looking for technicians who are dedicated, take ownership of their work, actively mentor others, and are committed to continuous learning and professional growth. This is not a position for individuals seeking minimal effort or short-term involvement. We value accountability, reliability, and team leadership in the field.
Requirements
- Proven fiber floating experience (required)
- Experience operating fiber blowing equipment
- Ability to travel for project assignments
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Strong attention to safety and quality
Responsibilities
- Perform micro and conventional fiber floating
- Operate fiber blowing equipment
- Install fiber in duct systems
- Read and follow construction drawings and project plans
- Troubleshoot fiber installation issues
- Guide and support laborers during installation
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and site protocols
- Assist with site preparation and material handling as needed
