About The Position
Assembles bags filled with loose fiber to produce backs and seats for upholstered furniture. Operates a machine designed to blow fiber into sewn bags
Requirements
- Equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the above duties
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide
- Capacity to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Obtains work order to determine appropriate bag size and quantity
- Fills bag with the proper weight of fiber per the specifications for the style
- Slides the bag on the table to the sealer station
- Operates the sealer as needed
- Loads bags onto carts for transportation to the upholstery assembly area
- Moves carts to proper storage location
- Fills the machine hopper with fiber
- Follows health and safety standards.
- Maintains a clean workstation and production floor
- Performs other tasks as assigned
