About The Position

The Collateral DE Underwriter is responsible for the assessment of all subject collateral originated through the retail platform for conventional loans. This position involves analyzing, evaluating, and decisioning appraisal reports in accordance with all agency and investor guidelines and standards. The Underwriter will complete comprehensive collateral reviews in a timely manner to meet service level expectations, maintain a pipeline, and communicate issues to Appraisers, Processors, and Originators. It is essential to remain informed and current on all agency and investor guidelines and updates while maintaining a high level of customer service. Collaboration with the Post Closing Department on any stipulations for closed files is also required, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3 years’ mortgage underwriting experience.
• FHA DE certification, required.
• Experience in collateral underwriting, preferred.
• Working knowledge of all agency and investor underwriting policies.
• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Advanced analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
