About The Position

The position is for the 2025-2026 school year, requiring candidates to hold the proper certification and endorsements as mandated by the State Board of Education. The qualifying license is for Elementary K-8, with an endorsement in all elementary subjects. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to life-long learning and actively participate in professional development to enhance their skills. Staff are expected to be solution-focused, work effectively with colleagues, and possess the ability to gather and analyze data to improve their teaching effectiveness. A strong commitment to the success of all students, including those with differentiated needs such as special education, English Language Learners, and gifted students, is essential.

Requirements

  • Must hold the proper certification and endorsements as required by the State Board of Education.
  • Qualifying License: Elementary K-8.
  • Qualifying Endorsement: All Elementary Subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Strives to implement the District's philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives.
  • Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicates these objectives to students.
  • Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs and abilities of students.
  • Prepares for assigned classes and provides written evidence of preparation as requested.
  • Identifies students with learning problems and seeks assistance from District specialists as needed.
  • Assists administration in upholding and enforcing school rules and policies.
  • Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and maintains order in a fair manner.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and District policy.
  • Takes necessary precautions to protect students and school property.
  • Establishes open lines of communication with students and parents regarding academic and behavioral progress.
  • Makes provisions to be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when required.
  • Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
  • Cooperates with staff in planning instructional goals and methods.
  • Assists in selecting instructional materials.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with others.
  • Accepts responsibility for co-curricular activities if requested.
  • Pursues professional growth through reading, workshops, seminars, and advanced coursework.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the principal.
