About The Position
Using various lab techniques and lab equipment, fetal blood will be spun into serum to be used for pharmaceutical purposes. The hours are from 10am-7pm or later.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort handling biological materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Cold, hot, wet, and/or industrial environments
- PPE Required
- Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions
Nice To Haves
- Lab experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Pour and bottle serum and re-spin as required to meet quality and yield requirements
- Empty waster blood and dispose of empty bottle properly
- Label and box products and samples
- Load and unload stock and supplies
- Clean all equipment used in the production process and the facility itself
- Assist with QC testing, environmental monitoring, shipping, maintenance, and inventory control as required
- Focus on personal hygiene and perform cleaning duties as required to prevent product contamination
- Follow correct gowning procedures at all times
- Keep accurate records of activities performed
- Work according to written procedures (SOP’s) at all times
- Communicate clearly regarding issues
- Maintain professionalism in third-party facilities
- Other tasks as assigned
