About The Position

The Festival Associate Manager, Community Outreach is responsible for conducting community organization outreach and providing the community with access to online and in-person film screenings for the Sundance Film Festival. Working closely under the Director, Utah Community Outreach and Government Relations, you will support Sundance Institutes commitment to community programming. This temporary position works full time from Wednesday, December 3, 2025 through Friday, February 13, 2026 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position is based out of our Park City, Utah office with regular opportunities to work from home.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience working in community outreach, marketing, or related.
  • Valid drivers license and successful completion of MVR background check.
  • Outstanding written, interpersonal communication, and public speaking skills with the ability to engage with a variety of people.
  • Ability and ease with public speaking.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) databases such as Airtable, proficiency in Google Suite (sheets, slides) or Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel), and mail merge preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Utah communities and nonprofit organizations preferred.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining Utah-based community contacts databases (Airtable) with accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Organizing and conducting approximately six 30-minute sessions on Festival program highlights for community organizations, either virtually or in person.
  • Conducting outreach to provide tickets to Utah-based non-profit communities with a focus in Salt Lake County and Summit County.
  • Acting as a representative for the program to internal and external partners and responding to program inquiries in a timely manner, including managing the community outreach email inbox.
  • Collaborating with the Public Programming team to screen selected films chosen for community consideration.
  • Attending assigned free community screenings to conduct pre-screening intros in recognition of Utah community sponsors and supporters.
  • Supporting community engagement efforts identified through programming selections.
  • Collecting data for grant reporting including; attendance, demographics, screengrabs, and photographs.
  • Conducting a comprehensive wrap-report including program summary, statistical graphics, and recommendations for future success.
  • Updating department procedures documents and creating estimated timeline documents for the following year.
